Accounts Payable Lead
The Accounts Payable Lead is responsible for overseeing the daily activities of team members. The position is responsible for researching and resolving various accounting, invoice and payment processing, and Supplier issues. The Lead directs team members toward department goals and supports the workload by reviewing processes and procedures to improve workflow. Communication and problem solving are key components of the position.
Essential Functions
- Ensure clear and current communications with team members regarding AP procedures
- Relay Company communications to team members and field questions, if necessary
- Ensure continued progress toward department goals
- Assist team members with new processes to accomplish team goals and individual KPIs
- Encourage and assist team members in a positive manner
- Improve and maintain Supplier relationships through effective communication
- Escalate Supplier inquiries and/or complaints to Supervisor when necessary
- Address past due accounts and escalate issues to Supervisor/Manager immediately
- Work with AP Supervisor and other departments on process improvements
- Review weekly AP reports with Supervisor and assist with resolving issues
- Complete assigned tasks and projects from AP Supervisor/Manager
- Assist with the development of goals and KPIs for team members
- Review KPIs for transaction processing time to ensure terms are met
- Effectively and efficiently communicate with AP Supervisor/Manager regarding workload imbalances and needs for process improvement or staffing changes
- Strong knowledge of and comfort with Oracle applications
- Strong problem solving, data analysis, multi-tasking, research, resolution and communication skills
- Intermediate to advanced computer program skills in Microsoft Office and Excel
- Proven ability to interact with team members and Suppliers in a professional manner, organize and set priorities, work effectively under pressure and maintain confidentiality
- Ability to train others, promote teamwork, exhibit leadership and creativity and have a strong work ethic
- Proven track record of integrity and trust; motivated to achieve goals

- Associate's Degree in Accounting, Management or other related fields or equivalent experience

Typical Compensation Range
Pay Rate Type: Hourly $27.41 - $36.31 / Hourly
