We are adding a Housing Associate to work as part of the Resettlement department to carry out housing tasks for newly arrived refugees.!The Housing Associate will assist the Housing Lead and Housing Coordinator with securing and setting up permanent housing. This position will support the common goal of welcoming refugees, offering vital services for them to regain stability, and support their long-term integration through performing essential tasks related to housing.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Support Housing Coordinator with apartment setupsEnsure all Material Needs Support (MNS) items are present upon completion of the apartment setupVerify MNS items in the warehouse and communicate with the Housing Coordinator regarding low inventoryReconcile MNS purchases with credit cards and DynamicsUpdate Boxstorm inventory for all MNS items used for setupsCollaborate with Warehouse team to ensure warehouse is organized and well-maintainedAssist and collaborate with the Resettlement department in any assigned tasks to complete core services related to housingDocument the provision of MNS items and activities thoroughly and in a timely manner in accordance with program and World Relief Sacramento requirementsAchieve grant requirements and deliverables through timely, high-quality servicesParticipate in on-going training to improve service delivery and ensure complianceCollaborate successfully across World Relief Sacramento staff and departments, as well as with external partnersParticipate in weekly staff meetings and other meetings as instructed by supervisorOther duties as assignedKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:Demonstrated success working and communicating effectively in a multi-cultural environmentAbility to speak clearly and comfortably on the phone with partners and participants, which include people with limited English abilities and/or the use of interpretersStrong command of Microsoft Office applicationsProven ability to utilize digital communication tools, such as Zoom, TEAMS, and other platformsAbility to work as part of a team and support program-specific volunteers and internsProven success achieving goals and working effectively with all levels of staff in a fast-paced, multi-cultural environment;Self- starter with excellent problem-solving skills combined with the proven ability to multi-task, prioritize duties, and manage time effectivelyHighly self-motivated and comfortable working independently towards case-specific, department, and office-wide goals
