In Cookeville, TN our Transtar team manufactures the highest quality Recon Certified™ torque converters. Transtar is currently seeking associates for its torque converter production lines. In this role, you will have an opportunity to learn a variety of jobs, from the break down stage all the way though the rebuilding process while ensuring the highest quality prior to distributing to our nationwide customer network. At Transtar Industries, we seek applicants that roll up their sleeves, enjoy hard work, and thrive in a team environment. Experience with CNCs, lathes, and welding is beneficial. We are a union facility represented by UAW Local 2409 and starting pay is $13.50- $14.50 per hour for 1st shift.

WHAT YOU WILL DO WITH YOUR TALENTS:
  • Learn a variety of jobs and cross train
  • Use hand tools, lathes, and CNCs
  • Work with a team daily to create the highest quality torque converters
  • Meet daily goals and objectives
  • Other duties as assigned by your Supervisor
WHAT YOU WILL BRING:
  • Ability to lift up to 20-80 lbs.
  • Commitment to quality and attention to detail
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
  • Pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical exam, and background check screening
  • Ability to effectively communicate with team members to aid in satisfying customer requirements
EXPERIENCE:
  • Manufacturing experience is a plus but not required. All training is done onsite.
