Summary of Position:


The Senior Compliance Analyst will assist the SVP, Compliance Officer in day to-day compliance support for the Bank to maintain a strong compliance management program. As a Compliance Analyst, you will be responsible for ensuring that our bank complies with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.


Primary Job Duties: (Essential Functions)


  • Support Compliance Department in the absence of the Compliance Officer
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring and maintenance of a compliance program designed to ensure that each functional area of the bank achieves and maintains compliance with applicable banking laws, regulations and regulatory agency issuances.
  • Responsible for monthly reviews of the HMDA LAR for accuracy.
  • Perform periodic tests of transactions and procedures to ensure the effectiveness of the compliance program
  • Identify and track CRA donations, investments and services and ensure appropriate documentation is collected.
  • Investigate and resolve compliance issues and incidents.
  • Identify and track consumer complaints for any trends and training opportunities for staff to avoid compliance errors.
  • Maintain a loan denial and a loan exception log to review for potential discrimination.
  • Assist in researching federal and state banking laws and regulations, review the financial institution’s policies and procedures, and ensure financial institution compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Assist in completing the annual fair lending analysis.
  • Monitor and analyze regulatory developments and assess their impact on the bank.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Participate in audits and examinations conducted by regulatory agencies.
  • Participate in special projects and other duties as directed.


Skills and Qualifications


  • CRCM certification is a plus
  • Knowledge of banking rules and regulations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to multi-task while maintaining a high degree of accuracy.
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Attention to detail and to prioritize tasks
  • Strong analytic and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with HMDA and Fair Lending software a plus.


Remote Work:


This position is eligible for a hybrid in the office and remote work after initial training period , the end of which is determined by your immediate supervisor. This hybrid work arrangement is subject to continual evaluation and is dependent upon performance as indicated in the Organization’s Telecommuting Policy.
