Currently seeking a Compliance Director primarily responsible for ensuring that a company complies with all federal, state, and industry laws, regulations, and standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing a company’s compliance program
  • Will be in direct contact with HUD and its subsidiaries.
  • Identifying potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk and developing corrective action plans
  • Ensuring that the company and its business activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies
  • Conducting internal reviews or on-site audits to ensure compliance procedures are followed
  • Working closely with management and employees to foster a compliance-focused culture within the company
  • Providing training and guidance to staff on compliance matters
  • Responding to alleged violations of rules, regulations, policies, and procedures by evaluating and initiating investigative procedures
  • Keeping informed about changes in laws and regulations that affect the company’s operations
  • Preparing annual budgets

Qualifications:

  • Three plus years of compliance experience in property management/Affordable Housing preferred
  • Advanced Tax Credit & HUD Section 8 experience preferred
  • Experience with an on-site wait list
  • Certified Occupancy Specialist preferred
  • Excellent leadership and motivational abilities
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to interact with a wide range of clientele
  • Proficient in Real Page (Onesite)
  • Ensure on-site personnel are maintaining the EIV binder for their property
  • Prepare and complete Management Occupancy reports & tax credit reviews
  • Maintain state databases for tax credit reporting & prepare year-end LIHTC reporting
  • Must be open to traveling
