Job Summary and Qualifications

CLINICAL CERTIFICATION WITH ACUTE CARE PROCEDURAL AREA EXPERIENCE STRONGLY PREFERRED

The Clinical Resource Director is responsible for establishing and leading the supply expense agenda for the clinical resource management program for a hospital(s). Responsibilities include driving positive change through program definition and leading initiatives that support the healthcare organization's clinical expense agenda, reviewing and optimizing the group purchasing organization’s contract portfolio, and developing and executing product standardization with the value analysis committees. The Clinical Resource Director will build strategic alliances with Hospital Leadership, Physicians, and Supply Chain to execute successfully the clinical supply expense plan.

What you will do in this role includes:

1. Develop and implement facility or division-based strategies and processes to reduce supply expense per adjusted admission.
2. Identify and implement supply expense margin improvement with a primary focus on high-cost departments.
3. Identify supply expense variances and develop action plans to mitigate increases; participate in monthly operating reports and supply expense planning.
4. Participate in and facilitate value analysis meetings.
5. Utilize clinical product value analysis committees to review products and technology for clinical evidence and benefit.
6. Build relationships and increase customer satisfaction with hospital leadership, clinical directors, and supply chain leadership.
7. Collaborate with facility leadership and staff to identify and implement continuous quality improvement and cost containment processes.

What qualifications you will need:

1. Bachelor’s degree required (Business, Health Administration, Nursing, Pharmacy, or other Allied Health Profession) with related experiences in healthcare value analysis, clinical supply chain, or acute care hospital performance - Required.
2. Master’s degree highly preferred.
3. Three to five years of value analysis/clinical/hospital leadership experience preferred.
4. LPN/RN, Certified Materials and Resource Professional (CMRP), Certified Value Analysis Health Professional (CVAHP), or similar credential preferred.
