About the Role
Global responsibility for category strategy development and implementation, sourcing decisions, negotiations, and management of the supply base for a category segment or group of suppliers, while ensuring alignment with stakeholders needs of Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Product Areas.
Your Responsibilities
Category Strategy
Develop, support and implement category (segment) strategy
Onboard, Develop, maintain, and share Global SSL ( Strategic Supplier List) to be in alignment with the company needs
Develop, maintain, and share Category Strategy plans
Preparation of data sets used for Category Strategy reviews
Roadmap alignment reviews between Category and Product Area
Define Distribution vs Direct roadmap (global strategy)
Sourcing (“responsible” for some strategic category initiatives only, “support” when sourcing done by Core or Program&Operations Buyer)
Participate Target Price definition and define Should Cost of assigned new components.
Define Sourcing Scenario together with Core and P&O Purchasing buyer
Support (or execute) RFQ process to suppliers selected in the Sourcing Scenario meeting
Negotiate final commercial terms
Align in Concurrence Meeting with rest of sourcing stakeholders
Who we are looking for
Minimum 3 (5) years in Purchasing role.
Your preferred qualifications
Experience in sourcing, sourcing decisions, negotiations, strategic analysis and managing a supply base.
Proved experience as buyer in the automotive sector and/or electronic
Skilled in computer office applications such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Strong personal skills to work in a global team environment.
Strong verbal and written communication in the local language and in English.
Open minded, Self-motivated, Team oriented and Analytical
Demonstrated knowledge in Automotive quality assurance systems for suppliers and components.
Experience in supplier management process, systems and tools
Experience in Contract management (such as complex Annual price agreements, Long Terms Agreements, Terms and Conditions)
Coaching and training of category buyers
