The Talent Management team at DoorDash is responsible for owning the strategy and developing mechanisms to ensure we have a talent dense organization and a culture that allows us to continue to achieve our business aspirations and goals.

About the Role

The Principal, Global Talent Strategy will serve as a key leader within the Talent Management team, responsible for defining the company's talent strategy. This role will shape the future of the organization by identifying and addressing talent needs, developing strategic priorities, and leading the execution of those priorities through key partner teams, including talent acquisition, development, performance management, diversity and inclusion, and employee engagement. This role will partner with senior leaders across the organization to align talent initiatives with business goals, ensuring the company attracts, retains, and develops top-tier talent to fuel growth and innovation.

  • Define and articulate a clear talent strategy aligned with the company's business objectives and long-term growth plans.
  • Analyze workforce data, market trends, and business forecasts to inform talent priorities and predict future talent needs.
  • Develop key initiatives that address talent gaps, build leadership pipelines, and promote a high-performance culture.
  • Champion talent as a key business driver and influence senior leadership in prioritizing people development and talent planning.
  • Partner with teams across Talent organization and the People team to execute talent strategies.

We’re excited about you because…

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in HR, talent management, or organizational development roles, with at least 5 years in a strategic leadership capacity.
  • Proven experience in developing and executing talent strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Strong knowledge of talent management pillars, including talent acquisition, development, performance management, and DEI.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Experience in leading large-scale talent initiatives in a global, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and strategically.
  • Demonstrated leadership and ability to drive change in complex, matrixed organizations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development or Business.
