Personal Care Resident Assistant / Med Tech Position:

  • 32 hr / wks; Night Shift: 10:30pm - 6:30am including every other weekend and holiday rotation
  • Current certification to administer medications in PA Personal Care Home (Med Tech) required

Personal Care Resident Assistant / Med Tech Pay:

  • $20.05 - $21.65 hour, + $0.50 night shift differential; + $1.25 / hr weekend shift differential

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

  1. Delivers resident care in accordance with the Resident Assessment and Support Plan (RASP) with additional direction from the Charge Nurse/Charge Med Tech or other supervisory personnel.
  2. Assists residents with their activities of daily living. This includes eating, bathing, incontinence care, oral hygiene, dressing, ambulation, and positioning, while observing safety and sanitary precautions and respecting individual needs and preferences
  3. Assists residents with telephone use, processing laundry, stockings, and tidying up their room
  4. Assists with Activities, as needed
  5. Follows policies and procedures related to resident care
  6. Assists in the dining room by serving drinks, delivering meals and helping residents with meal choices
  7. Orders supplies and ensures accurate charging of supplies to resident using electronic charging system
  8. Follows team member safety policies and procedures
  9. Performs resident transfers per Fairmount policy
  10. Reports pertinent information, and/or changes in residents’ conditions promptly to the Charge Nurse.
  11. Responsible for maintaining safety and sanitation standards throughout the facility and for following all applicable rules and regulations of federal and state regulatory agencies.
  12. Obtains vital signs, weights, intake and output accurately
  13. Presents each resident with a neat and clean appearance
  14. Assists with admission, transfer, discharge and post-mortem care procedures.
  15. Attends meetings as required
  16. Follows all quality assurance/infection control standards.
  17. Accurately documents on the resident’s electronic and paper record
  18. Adheres to Corporate Compliance Plan.
  19. Complies with HIPAA Privacy standards.
  20. Administers medications and completes treatments per physician’s orders following the Pharmacy Policy and Procedure Manu
  21. Performs other duties as required by facility needs.

The sensory and communicative activities essential to the performance of this position include hearing, seeing and smelling--all activities done daily constantly; feeling and speaking--all activities done daily frequently.
  1. Must have the composure to function calmly and professionally under stressful conditions when confronted with frustrated or angry staff/residents; emergency, critical, unusual, or dangerous situations.






Compensation details: 20.05-21.65 Hourly Wage
