Job Requirements / Description

The Director of Facilities will play a pivotal role in managing facilities, grounds, and biomedical staff. Other duties include but are not limited to:

  1. Ensure that testing, repairs and preventative maintenance of clinical equipment, physical plant equipment, and hospital are performed.
  2. Maintain departmental budgets.
  3. Schedule and lead Emergency Operations Committee (EOC) meetings.
  4. Order all necessary equipment to support the facility management operations.
  5. Assist with occasional construction projects.

Education:

  1. BS Mechanical Engineering or 5 years experience with facilities management operations.
  2. Ability to type and perform computer data entry.
  3. Knowledge of medical terminology.
  4. Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Experience:

  1. 5 Years experience with electric controls.
  2. Experience with building construction and ability to read blueprints.
  3. Extensive knowledge of HVAC systems, boilers, powered generators, water softener systems, medical gas systems and clinical devices.

Licenses/Certifications:

  1. Valid Driver's License.
