Job Requirements / Description
The Director of Facilities will play a pivotal role in managing facilities, grounds, and biomedical staff. Other duties include but are not limited to:
- Ensure that testing, repairs and preventative maintenance of clinical equipment, physical plant equipment, and hospital are performed.
- Maintain departmental budgets.
- Schedule and lead Emergency Operations Committee (EOC) meetings.
- Order all necessary equipment to support the facility management operations.
- Assist with occasional construction projects.
Education:
- BS Mechanical Engineering or 5 years experience with facilities management operations.
- Ability to type and perform computer data entry.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
Experience:
- 5 Years experience with electric controls.
- Experience with building construction and ability to read blueprints.
- Extensive knowledge of HVAC systems, boilers, powered generators, water softener systems, medical gas systems and clinical devices.
Licenses/Certifications:
- Valid Driver's License.
