Lynden Air Cargo is looking for an experienced First Officer who can transport mail, freight, or for other commercial purposes within Alaska, domestic, and international markets, along with aiding in operations in Alaska and worldwide.

The essential duties and responsibilities of this position are:
- Performs all assigned work in accordance with established policies and procedures as governed by Lynden Air Cargo's Employee Handbook, LAC GOM, and applicable CFRs.
- Responsible to Pilot-in-Command (PIC) when on flight duty.
- Assists PIC in ensuring the safe and efficient conduct of the flight, the safety of the cargo, crew members, and the aircraft.
- Complies with all rules and procedures necessary for the safe operation of the aircraft and assists PIC as directed; completes forms and reports as required.
- Assists PIC in ensuring the aircraft is properly equipped for the flight and is not operated in a reckless or careless manner.
- May assist in loading and unloading activities of the aircraft.
- May travel globally, as needed, to support LAC’s fleet.
- Working in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
Qualifications:
- Education/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; college degree preferred; minimum 5,000 hours of experience as a pilot; or equivalent combination of education and experience. International or Alaska experience preferred.
- Comprehension: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, professional journals, governmental regulations, and safety regulations. Ability to write reports and accurately record information into flight records. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Mathematical skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Reasoning ability: Ability to use common sense and sound judgment to deal with situations and multiple problems that occur simultaneously in a highly controlled and regulated environment. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Availability: Must be available to work days, evenings, weekends, nights, or holidays and to be away from home for extended periods of time. Must be available to travel to domestic and international locations without restrictions, including entrance onto foreign military bases.
- Certificates/Licenses/Registration:
- Airline Pilot Transport Pilot Certificate (or completion of ATP-CTP and required aeronautical experience).
- Multi-engine Rating.
- Class I Medical Certificate.
- Simulator Flight Evaluation.
- Current Driver License.
- Current US Passport.
A post-conditional offer of employment drug test and background investigation is required. Applicants must be able to hold Secure Identification Display Access badge and submit to RapBack verification.
Random drug testing is required of all Lynden Air Cargo employees.
