Job Description:
As the Production Sound Mixer Partner, you will be responsible for capturing and mixing high-quality audio during the production of various television projects, including documentaries and reality shows. Your expertise will ensure that our sound design elevates the storytelling experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with directors and producers to understand the audio requirements and vision for each project.
- Set up, operate, and maintain audio equipment, including microphones, mixers, and recording devices.
- Capture clean and clear audio on set, ensuring high-quality sound recording during filming.
- Work with the production team to implement effective sound strategies for various environments and situations.
- Monitor audio levels and make adjustments in real-time to prevent distortion or loss of quality.
- Conduct post-production mixing and editing of audio tracks to achieve the desired sound quality and effects.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices in audio production.
Skills Required:
- Strong knowledge of audio recording techniques and equipment.
- Proficiency in operating sound mixing and recording equipment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Attention to detail and a strong ear for sound quality.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances on set.
- Familiarity with audio editing software (e.g., Pro Tools, Adobe Audition) for post-production work.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Sound Engineering, Audio Production, Film Production, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience as a sound mixer or audio engineer in television or film production, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- In-depth knowledge of sound design, mixing techniques, and audio post-production processes.
- Previous experience in a collaborative production environment is a plus.
Compensation:
This position offers a unique revenue-sharing compensation structure, where the Production Sound Mixer Partner will receive a revenue share of 3-5% for all projects worked on. Revenue will be based on new subscription sales generated from the distributed project, with payouts made on a monthly basis, 60 days after each project release.
