Job Description:
As the Production Sound Mixer Partner, you will be responsible for capturing and mixing high-quality audio during the production of various television projects, including documentaries and reality shows. Your expertise will ensure that our sound design elevates the storytelling experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with directors and producers to understand the audio requirements and vision for each project.
  2. Set up, operate, and maintain audio equipment, including microphones, mixers, and recording devices.
  3. Capture clean and clear audio on set, ensuring high-quality sound recording during filming.
  4. Work with the production team to implement effective sound strategies for various environments and situations.
  5. Monitor audio levels and make adjustments in real-time to prevent distortion or loss of quality.
  6. Conduct post-production mixing and editing of audio tracks to achieve the desired sound quality and effects.
  7. Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices in audio production.

Skills Required:

  1. Strong knowledge of audio recording techniques and equipment.
  2. Proficiency in operating sound mixing and recording equipment.
  3. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  4. Attention to detail and a strong ear for sound quality.
  5. Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances on set.
  6. Familiarity with audio editing software (e.g., Pro Tools, Adobe Audition) for post-production work.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Sound Engineering, Audio Production, Film Production, or a related field is preferred.
  2. Proven experience as a sound mixer or audio engineer in television or film production, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
  3. In-depth knowledge of sound design, mixing techniques, and audio post-production processes.
  4. Previous experience in a collaborative production environment is a plus.

Compensation:
This position offers a unique revenue-sharing compensation structure, where the Production Sound Mixer Partner will receive a revenue share of 3-5% for all projects worked on. Revenue will be based on new subscription sales generated from the distributed project, with payouts made on a monthly basis, 60 days after each project release.
