Make Your Mark:

BlackLine is seeking a technically proficient Technical Lead to join our Financial Systems team. Reporting to the Senior Director of Financial Systems, this role will oversee multiple systems used by the Accounting & Finance teams, with a primary focus on managing Zuora and SAP development projects and spearheading the overall Financial Systems architecture for revenue, billing, and commissions systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience as a developer and solutions architect, with a strong background in managing development projects, technical requirements documentation, integration design, and implementation.


You'll Get To:

  • Lead the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) for financial systems enhancement and automation projects, with a particular emphasis on Zuora and SAP systems, including requirements gathering, software specifications, design and architecture, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Develop deep technical expertise in the complex processes, practices, and workflows of internal end users to deliver comprehensive automated solutions.
  • Oversee system integration projects, including process definition, technical documentation, deployment, and continuous maintenance for systems such as Zuora Billing, Zuora Revenue, SAP Commissions, and NetSuite.
  • Lead data migration activities related to new acquisitions, international expansion, and new system implementations, ensuring seamless data transitions.
  • Architect and develop advanced customizations across NetSuite, SAP, and Zuora platforms. This includes creating and maintaining workflows, scripts, custom forms, reports, searches, and dashboards, utilizing SQL for SAP Commissions development, SAP Workflow, and Zuora Workflow.
  • Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) with the accounting team for new system customizations and processes, ensuring high-quality deployments.
  • Provide technical training and documentation for end users, focusing on maximizing the effective use of new systems, policies, and practices.
  • Handle day-to-day system troubleshooting, logging, and resolving technical issues through the JIRA ticketing system.

What You'll Bring:

  • 7+ years of technical experience with Zuora, NetSuite and/or SAP Commissions, including roles as a developer and solutions architect.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proficient in Zuora Billing, Zuora Revenue, SAP Commissions, and JIRA. Advanced understanding of NetSuite functionalities, including Workflows, SuiteScript, Fixed Assets, Advanced Approvals, Custom Reports, and Searches. Experience with SQL for SAP Commissions development, SAP Workflow, and Zuora Workflow.
  • Strong knowledge of integration platforms such as Dell Boomi for seamless data movement into NetSuite.
  • Excellent ability to communicate complex technical concepts to finance teams, auditors, technical teams, and system users at all levels.
  • Experience adhering to industry-standard development processes for structured, auditable change deployments.
  • Skilled in creating detailed technical documentation and change management documentation to support IT general controls (ITGCs).

Salary Range:

USD $147,000.00 - USD $196,000.00

Pay Transparency Statement:

Placement within this range depends upon several factors, including the applicant's prior relevant job experience, skill set, and geographic location. In addition to base pay, BlackLine also offers short-term and long-term incentive programs, based on eligibility, along with a robust offering of benefit and wellness plans.
