This position will be a member of the Global Operations Freight Services finance team, as the Finance Analyst for the Grove City New Engine Manufacturing facility. The operations group that this role supports includes quality, materials, operations, and EHS amongst others. This role will have a strong focus on maintaining controllership and driving cost out of the product through productivity, while ensuring a high level of safety, quality and OTD.
How will you make a difference?
As a member of the Global Operations Freight Services finance team, reporting to the Senior Grove City Finance Manager, you will be responsible for the preparation of the annual budget and metrics followed by analysis of financial performance to annual targets. Other key responsibilities include month end close activities, accounts payable support, standard cost setting, and physical inventories. You also lead and champion projects that will help your operations and finance team continue to add value to the company and improve overall financial performance.

- Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting with a minimum of 2 years of related experience, preferably in a manufacturing company
- Oracle system costing experience preferred
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong Microsoft Excel abilities
- Effective problem identification and solution skills
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work at all levels and partner with Management team
- A self-driven and motivated mindset
- Perform the monthly and quarterly close procedures and report results timely
- Comply with Wabtec Accounting and Internal Control Policies. Responsible for meeting all internal guidelines and enable the business unit to consistently meet the Wabtec financial close requirements
- Perform audit testing as required and update related documentation; provide information to internal and external auditors as needed
- Develop annual and continuous forecasting of financial metrics
- Partner closely with the plant manager to perform detailed financial analysis, identify opportunities and drive continuous improvement
- Reporting and analyzing weekly productivity and inventory related metrics
- Ensure Wabtec engine inventory and asset controllership
- Responsible for new manufacturing costing
- Lead and execute projects, such as, but not limited to partnering with IT to develop standard reports to meet business policies, assist with audit testing, quarterly and year-end financial package requirements, and monthly reporting for key performance drivers
- Ad hoc analysis as requested
