  • Refine Scope and Support Strategy: Work with various stakeholders to refine the scope of the modernization efforts and support the development of a strategy to achieve the desired outcomes.
  • Governance and Stakeholder Collaboration:
  • Establish Governance Model: Implement a governance model for the DPH data modernization program to ensure clear roles, responsibilities, and decision-making processes.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including senior executive staff, business and IT leaders, and vendors, to align the program with the broader organizational goals.
  • Program Management and Execution:
  • Prioritize Initiatives: Work closely with program and project sponsors to identify and prioritize key initiatives at the division level, ensuring they are aligned with the strategic roadmap.
  • Dashboard Visualization and Business Intelligence: Support the development of data needs and activities required for creating dashboards and data visualizations that provide valuable insights to the division.
  • Vendor and Resource Management: Manage multiple vendor engagements, allocate resources effectively, and ensure that all projects within the program are on track and within budget.
  • Risk Management and Communication:
  • Identify Risks and Opportunities: Work with other program managers to identify risks and opportunities across multiple projects, ensuring that any issues are addressed promptly.

Skills and Experience Requirements:

  • Strategic Vision for Data Management: Ability to conceive and promote a strategic vision for data management and modernization efforts.
  • Program Management Experience: Extensive experience in managing large, complex technology programs, particularly those involving data architecture, data lakes, data warehouses, and relational database structures.
  • Diverse Technical Environment: Proven ability to work in a technically diverse environment with various products, platforms, and services, including on-site, off-site, and cloud-based database solutions.
  • Leadership and Communication: Strong leadership skills, with the ability to influence, motivate, and lead cross-functional teams. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, tailored to different audiences.
  • Project Portfolio Management: Experience managing a portfolio of projects with differing timelines, priorities, and stages of development.
