Title: Staff Accountant

Location: Walnut Creek (4 days/week onsite)

Pay: $70,000 - $80,000 / year

We're seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our growing team! In this role, you'll play a key part in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial reporting. You'll focus on a specific area of accounting while gaining valuable experience in other areas through cross-training.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate on month-end closing procedures, preparing detailed journal entries and supporting documentation for audits.
• Analyze financial results, comparing them to budgets, past performance, and forecasts for key financial statement line items.
• Reconcile accounts and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies.
• Create well-documented schedules and reports to support annual audits and tax filings.
• Recommend improvements to internal controls and business processes.
• Contribute to the documentation of accounting procedures.
• Build relationships with team members and business partners, acting as a primary point of contact.
• Participate in various accounting projects, analyses, and research assignments.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field (CPA preferred).
• Experience with general accounting principles and practices.
• Strong understanding of accounting software and financial analysis tools.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
