Performs work requiring independent judgment in evaluation, selection and substantial modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria.

Location

  • Houston Office (1 Project Manager opening)

Essential Functions

  • Weekly client meetings
  • Plans, directs, and supervises architectural aspects of design or construction projects
  • Develops, organizes, and reviews building plans
  • Collaborates with Senior Design Partners and Senior Design Manager
  • Spends a significant portion of time consulting with clients in an office setting, as well as in the field to interact with engineers, contractors, and construction personnel
  • Receives technical guidance on unusual or complex issues and supervisory approval on proposed project plans
  • Supervises, coordinates, and reviews work of a team of 2-3 design professionals for multiple concurrent projects
  • Balance technical skills and creative aptitude in a fast-paced environment
  • Expertise in architectural standards, engineering practices, codes and standards
  • Strong technical capacity
  • Strong personal leadership abilities
  • Problem solving/analysis
  • AutoCAD or Revit skills

Required Education

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in architecture (post graduation)
  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture or degree equivalent education and experience
  • Work history meets all requirements for registration
  • Pursuit of documentation and testing for professional licensing, if not currently held

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has supervisory responsibilities mainly concerning overall objectives, critical issues, new concepts, and policy matters.

This is a full-time position, with a minimum expectation of 40 hours per week. Hours are somewhat flexible, and some late evenings may be required.

Travel (if any)

There is no anticipated overnight travel for this position. Some local day travel may be required.
