Senior Accountant
Castelion is seeking a Senior Accountant responsible for overseeing the month-end close process and ensuring accurate financial records across the balance sheet and profit and loss statements. This role includes performing payroll-related accounting, variance analysis, and supporting internal and external financial reporting. The Senior Accountant will work closely with the FP&A team to align budgets with actuals and help drive process improvements and automation initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the month-end close procedures
- Assist and perform a wide variety of accounting tasks, from the Balance Sheet to the P&L. Full review of all areas and ensuring accurate books at all times
- Perform the payroll-related accounting entries and variance analysis
- Working closely with FP&A team to align budget and actuals along with supporting their needs around understanding the business unit/verticals impacts that are key drivers
- Take initiative to improve and own internal processes and drive automation projects
- Support internal monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting process, external quarterly reviews, and annual financials statement audit
What you need to bring:
We're looking for a candidate who has experience with the following:
- CPA or in process of obtaining a CPA designation
- 3+ years of experience in a similar position or audit
- Strong financial reporting knowledge
- Advanced knowledge of Excel
- Bias to action - high initiative and resourcefulness
- Ability to work under pressure, manage priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail, analytical and organizational skills
- Strong problem solving skills
- Strong interpersonal skills are very important. You will need to be in constant communication with all stakeholders to have visibility of the business needs and risks
- Sense of collaboration and teamwork
- Ability to exercise discretion and confidentiality
- Adept at handling sensitive documents
Even better if you have, but not necessary:
- Experience with NetSuite
- CPA completed

Emails, IMs and verbal interactions are logical, drive clarity, and detailed enough to eliminate ambiguity.
