THE ROLE

The licensing team director is responsible for training and managing licensed coordinators and account managers. The licensing team director is responsible for executing orders to ensure the customer experience is as smooth as possible to aid in business growth and retention. The licensing team director oversees customer orders from start to finish ensuring completion, accuracy, and customer satisfaction. The licensing team director is responsible for overseeing a specific sector of growth within the business and creating a plan to achieve budget goals.

Essential Functions

The licensing team director plays a vital role in the company. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs. The essential duties and responsibilities of the position include:

  • Supervises one or more account managers
  • Business travel to include upkeep of current and new business (Estimate 10-20 trips per year)
  • Develops budget plans and growth strategy for their specific business sector
  • Trains new account coordinators on all necessary company platforms and processes
  • Provides input and support to outside and inside sales representatives
  • Directly coordinates sales and opportunities for sales
  • Maintains licensing agreements and upholds the directions outlined within them
  • Provides direction and supervision to licensing department by managing their performance, and maintaining appropriate staffing levels through recruitment, selection, and retention activities
  • Handles contracts and bids for personal customer base, estimated 10-20 accounts
  • Quotes product based on customer specifications
  • Orders product based on customer requests
  • Completes art sheets required prior to an item being prepared for production
  • Inputs customer orders into invoicing system
  • Reviews customer billing and invoicing prior to it being submitted to the customer
  • Reviews and updates quarterly WIP reports and submits to Vice President of Licensing
  • Provides customer support regarding orders, returns, shortages, damages, and back ordered products
  • Meets with customers to determine their needs and advise them on how ADPRO can help meet those needs
  • Attends outside sponsorship events

Qualifications

Based on the essential duties and responsibilities of the position, the licensing team director should have a number of professional skills and abilities:

  • Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills, well-developed verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work with internal and external clients
  • Sound organizational, records management, time management skills, and attention to detail
  • A bachelor’s degree
  • A minimum of five years of experience in a similar position, or
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience

Compensation

Salary Range: $80,000-$100,000
