Inside the Role

The Plant Controller drives high performance at the remanufacturing plant in partnership with the AMS Operations Controlling Manager and the local and corporate management team. Areas of focus include the development and tracking of financial targets, product cost analytics, and high-quality management reporting. Ensures the accuracy of the financial statements. The Controller provides proactive decision support, is adept at communicating across functions and is a key member of the local leadership team.

Position offers a starting salary range of $90,000 - $115,000 USD

Pay offered dependent on knowledge, skills, and experience.

What You Drive at DTNA

Partner with business unit to:

  • Be an integral part of the local management team to grow the business and provide financial direction. Also, acts as a “sparring-partner.”
  • Proactively advise and challenge business partners in plant operations, engineering, and other functions.
  • Evaluate new business opportunities with detailed business case analysis and accurate product costing.

Lead the controlling functions:

  • Develop and present financial statements, metrics, and other analytics to enable great business decisions.
  • Plan, direct, and coordinate the plant operative planning process for production volume, contribution, fixed overhead, capital investment, and headcount.
  • Lead and coordinate local and cross-center Lean/TOS initiatives to improve processes and reduce costs.
  • Perform investment analysis, general ledger accounting, and fixed asset management. Calculate provision requirements and reconcile general ledger accounts to maintain integrity of financial records. Prepare and examine financial records, ensuring records are accurate and that taxes are paid.

Knowledge You Should Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree with focus in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration from an accredited university/college with 3 years of relevant related experience. 5 years of relevant related experience preferred.
  • At least 1 year of group leader, project lead, or mentoring experience required.
  • Highly developed oral and written communication skills.
  • Team player with the ability to lead across functional boundaries.
  • High analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others and motivate peers.
  • Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, financial analysis, and reporting of financial data.
  • Understanding of US GAAP and IFRS.
  • Strong knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and experience with ERP systems.
  • High degree of ethics and integrity.

Exceptional Candidates Might Have

  • 5 years in controlling or accounting in a manufacturing environment or a combination of education and experience deemed to be equivalent.
  • MBA and/or CPA/CMA certification.
