With over 12,000 units across 10 states under management and more than 400 employees, Paths manages a suite of capabilities spanning the entire property life-cycle, including: development, construction, property management, maintenance, and security.The Senior Property Accountant will oversee the accounting and financial management of a portfolio of properties, responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and creating complete financial packages. This detail-oriented professional will also work closely with key personnel, including property management and auxiliary teams as well as external partners/stakeholders.Classification: Exempt (not overtime eligible)Key Responsibilities:Review and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for each asset within assigned portfolioExamine financial activity through strategic lens to provide insight and recommendations for improved performanceOversee and perform general ledger accounting, including AJEs, accrual adjustments and periodic account reconciliation.Monthly cash reconciliations, including reconciliation of escrow, reserve and other property level cash accounts.Manage accounts receivable/payable activity to ensure timely processing of receipts and disbursements by our supporting departments.Ensure timely completion of annual financial audit process, acting as lead contact between audit firms and the management group.Develop and refine property operating budgets annually to establish achievable performance goals.Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field. CPA or MBA preferred3-5 years of accounting experience within the real estate industry; residential/affordable experience preferred.Proficiency in property management software (Yardi preferred), as well as strong ability to operate and leverage Microsoft Suite products.Strong organization skills and attention to detail, with ability to self-manage multiple priorities and deadlines.Effective communication skills with an ability to collaborate successfully with internal/external stakeholders.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to think critically to make informed decisions.Ability to perform at high level in a fast paced, ever-changing work environment.Salary Range: $85,000-105,000 annuallyWhat we offer:We offer 100% coverage for medical benefits to our employees.
