Job Requirements / Description

Vaco is looking for an Accounting Assistant to support the accounting department by performing clerical tasks, including processing and recording transactions, preparing reports and budgets, and communicating with vendors and clients. This role ensures that the company’s financial processes are accurate, timely, and compliant with regulations.

Key Responsibilities :
  1. Data Entry and Record Keeping :

    • Enter and maintain accurate financial records.
    • Record and reconcile invoices, receipts, and other financial documents.
    • Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
  2. Accounts Payable/Receivable :

    • Process accounts payable invoices and ensure timely payments.
    • Generate invoices for accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments.
    • Assist in the preparation of bank deposits and account reconciliations.
  3. Financial Reporting :

    • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
    • Compile and analyze financial data to ensure accuracy.
  4. General Ledger Support :

    • Support the maintenance of the general ledger by posting journal entries.
    • Help with the preparation of adjusting journal entries during the closing process.
  5. Budgeting and Forecasting :

    • Assist in the preparation of budget and forecasting reports.
    • Monitor budget variances and report discrepancies.
  6. Administrative Support :

    • Maintain organized financial records and filing systems.
    • Handle routine administrative tasks like scheduling meetings and answering department inquiries.
  7. Compliance and Audits :

    • Assist in ensuring compliance with accounting regulations and internal controls.
    • Provide support during internal and external audits.
  8. Communication and Coordination :

    • Communicate with vendors and clients to resolve payment issues.
    • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
