We're seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, Trading I to join our Wealth Management team. This role is located in Boston, MA.
In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
- Provides assistance to the trading desk with client order execution.
- Liaises with support full allocation, settles issues on the life cycle of the trade.
- Facilitates orders for internal departments.
- Provides initial recommendations on the pricing of securities.
- May execute smaller or less complex trades and determine appropriate prices for transactions.
- Assists in the trading and management of a book of business.
- Functions independently with delegated responsibilities from more senior traders, which includes the pricing of securities and management of capital risk to maximize returns.
- Executes all correspondence requisites with a good understanding of the underlying business and specific client needs.
- Tracks trades and correct trade problems. Ensure all items are cleared up on a routine basis.
- Conducts problem analysis and identifies opportunities for process improvement.
- Provides product knowledge and technical assistance as necessary and works with third party vendors to conduct research that compares BNY to peers to provide data on pricing and trading strategies.
- Handles client inquiries and runs reports as necessary.
To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
- Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- 3-5 years of total work experience preferred.
- Experience in trading or brokerage preferred.
- Applicable local/regional licenses or certifications as required by the business.
