Tax Manager, Top CPA Firm
We are pleased to present a compelling opportunity for a seasoned EA/CPA/Tax Professional to join our leading Southeast based accounting and consulting firm as a Tax Manager. With a role centered in either North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, or other parts of the Southeast, this position offers flexibility in location alongside a dynamic work environment. Candidates will manage diverse client groups and oversee a skilled team, focusing on both individual and business taxation. Compensation: $90,000.00 - $140,000.00
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of clients and oversee the delivery of high-quality tax services in individual and business taxation areas.
- Lead project planning sessions and supervise deadlines ensuring seamless execution in collaboration with both associates and senior associates.
- Guide all phases of the Tax engagement from initiation to closure, while maximizing team effectiveness and client satisfaction.
- Review business and some individual tax returns providing constructive feedback promptly.
- Maintain an up-to-date understanding of tax laws, accounting standards, and industry best practices to ensure compliance and efficiency across operations.
- Encourage team engagement in continuous process improvement and adapt strategies based on operational feedback.
- Participate in business development activities and firm-wide events to enhance service offerings and firm growth.
- Educate and develop teams, allowing members to specialize in various tax realms, fostering expertise and professional enrichment.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Professional experience of at least 3 years in public accounting with a focus on tax consultancy and review.
- Demonstrable expertise in managing broad scopes of tax-related projects including compliance and advisory services.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CPA certification or EA designation, or progress toward obtaining it.
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a public accounting environment.
- Strong familiarity with the tax code and implications for both corporate entities and individuals.
