PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION:

It's the calling our our Pharmacy Couriers to help improve the health and well-being of our communities. You will be responsible for the prompt and accurate delivery and distribution of radiopharmaceuticals to medical facilities in accordance with customer demand and route that are used to help diagnose and treat patients. You will also prepare doses and cases for delivery, wipes tests, and loading/ unloading containers in keeping with the prescribed safety standards and Department of Transportation (DOT). SCHEDULE:

• Full/Part Time and/or Per Diem
• This is a NIGHT/DAY shift position with varying start/end times dependent on client needs
• Mandatory on call work as needed. Typically, 2 days per month of on-call (weekends)
• Candidates must be flexible to work different days, shifts, holidays, on-call, overtime, come in early or stay late based on business needs.

PAY:

• $15/hr.
• $2/hr. On-Call

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepares and makes deliveries to customer accounts on assigned route using a company vehicle (non-cdl)
• Packages radiopharmaceutical medication for shipment, performs testing, and loads/unloads containers
• Processes packages returned from customer locations following company policies & procedures.
• Maintains vehicles in proper working condition
• Restock the pharmacy with supplies needed for normal day-to-day operations.
• Successfully complete annual in-service requirements for safe handling of radioactive material and defensive driving.
• Performs general facility cleaning and other duties as required

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Position requires driving in all weather conditions and the ability to lift and carry packages of various sizes and weight (up to 70 lb.).
• Driving will be extensive.
• This position requires rotating and occasional on-call weekend shifts.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent, or equivalent work experience, preferred
• Must hold a valid driver's license and have a good driving record
• Minimum of 18 years of age due to driving of company owned vehicle
• Prior delivery driving experience a plus
• Ability to lift containers weighing up to 70 pounds
• Comfortable driving in all weather conditions during day or night hours
• Ability to sit, stand, be mobile and operate a vehicle for extended periods of time
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work in an on call rotation
• Flexibility to work various days, schedules, hours or overtime as needed
• Proficient with computer application such as Microsoft Office Suite
