Job Duties
The purpose of this position: Performs timely entry of payroll data into state payroll system for payment of all department, for over 200+ employees and prepares related payroll quarterly and annual reports. Maintains, configures and updates time clock information. Keeps record of time clock entries for use by management and for reporting and audit purposes. Supports management in preparing spreadsheets for payroll budgeting and monthly reconciliations. Knowledge of shift differential calculations.

The brand new Jones & Cabacoy Veterans Care Center (JCVCC) is named after two Virginia heroes. Air Force Colonel William A. Jones III of Norfolk was awarded the Medal of Honor for his service in Vietnam. Army Staff Sergeant Christopher F. Cabacoy of Virginia Beach was killed in Afghanistan in 2010 when his vehicle was hit by a roadside bomb. The Jones & Cabacoy VCC honors their service to the Nation and the Commonwealth. The Jones & Cabacoy VCC was built to serve our Veterans. They served us, now it is our duty to serve them. JCVCC is nestled in an ideal location in the Princess Anne section of Virginia Beach on a 25-acre site adjacent to Nimmo Parkway (extended), West Neck Rd, and N. Landing Rd. This pristine 128-bed facility is state of the art with immaculate outside landscaping and features all private rooms that will be organized into eight 16-bed households that surround a central community center and rehabilitation gym. Each 16-bed sub unit includes a dining room, kitchenette and dayroom adjoined access to a courtyard.
You will have the full support of the entire DVS team, including the Administrators of the Virginia Veterans Care Center in Roanoke, Sitter & Barfoot Veterans Care in Richmond, and the brand-new Puller Veterans Care Center in Fauquier County (the "twin" of Jones & Cabacoy VCC). Minimum Qualifications
Must have experience in maintaining all aspects of payroll for 200 +/- employees working various shifts and in various types of positions to include salaried and hourly. Experience in filing payroll reports to include quarterly federal tax returns, state returns and reports required by the state employment commission. Knowledge in shift differentials calculations. Experience in state Cardinal payroll system and KRONOS timekeeping system.
