As part of the growth strategy, the European company has set its sights on the US market to further strengthen its position. The Sales manager, will identify and pursue business opportunities in the market and grow the north American business. You will be responsible for developing, maintaining and strengthening new and established relationships within the horticulture-greenhouse industry.
What are you going to do?
As the Sales manager, you will be managing and developing new business, coupled with relationship building and solid negotiations you will close the deals that will change the world. Empowering greenhouse growers to be in control of their business. Understanding the needs of the growers and presenting them the newest innovations in their industry. Presenting products and offering service is part of your job. The sales manager will be part of the North American team with a strong connection to the HQ in Europe. You will build a strong network and maintain relationships with customers, partners and other stakeholders.
- Drive sales strategies that are aligned to the company’s overall strategy into concrete and impactful USA strategies.
- Identifying new business opportunities, while exploring new opportunities by generating new sales through acquisition.
- You will focus on expanding sales.
- Drive business growth and profitability.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, such as marketing and product development, and develop flexible yet potent sales strategies.
You will work in a nice environment with excellent primary and secondary working conditions with plenty of room to develop and challenge yourself within the organization.
Profile
As the Sales manager you need to have an excellent understanding of the horticulture & greenhouse industry within North America. In addition, you have an intrinsic interest in customers and putting their needs at the heart of the sales operation, along with identifying pain points and solving problems. You are able to pursue business opportunities in the market and grow the business towards achieving excellent results. By being flexible and open to adapt to different people, environments and situations.
Job requirements:
- Master`s degree in Sales, Business Administration, or any related field.
- Established network within the US horticulture industry including growers, distributors and industry associations.
- Comprehensive commercial experience (minimum of 4 years).
- Proven track record in strategic regional sales is a must.
- Excellent communication, negotiations and interpersonal skills.
