About the Role:

The Team:

The Associate Editorial Director oversees daily market coverage for crude oil, fuel oil, and bunkers fuel markets in the Americas. The team reporting to you produces hundreds of important oil price assessments every day as well as related news and market analysis.

Responsibilities and Impact:

Oil market reporting has always been at the heart of S&P Global Platts, and you will have responsibility for shaping daily coverage from some of our most important markets. This means ensuring consistently excellent quality in price assessments, news, and analysis but also helping evolve our coverage to keep in line with changing market developments.

  • Supervise and manage daily oil market coverage
  • Oversee team operations in fast-paced daily market environment
  • Help shape company strategy in fast-changing US crude oil market
  • Lead fuel oil and bunkers market coverage through period of significant change in the industry
  • Lead industry engagement
  • Represent S&P Global Platts at external events
  • Develop staff on market reporting teams

Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates)

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $82,600 to $171,500. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses, and certifications.

In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan. This role is not eligible for additional compensation such as an annual incentive bonus or sales commission plan.

This role is eligible to receive additional S&P Global benefits.

What We’re Looking For:

Basic Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher
  • Deep understanding of commodity markets
  • Ability to foster a collaborative environment

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of crude oil and/or fuel oil markets
  • Experience working with Price Reporting Agencies or similar
  • People manager who inspires collaboration and can drive change within and beyond immediate team
