Senior Associate/Vice President - Leveraged Finance

Our client, a leading global investment bank, is seeking an experienced Senior Associate or Vice President level candidate to help grow their Leveraged Finance team.

They specialize in providing bespoke financing solutions to a diverse range of clients, including large multinational corporations, private equity firms, and privately held companies.

This role involves leading the origination, structuring, and execution of private debt and capital markets transactions, with a focus on delivering tailored financing solutions to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the execution of private debt and capital markets transactions, including leveraged loans, mezzanine debt, unitranche debt, and equity-linked securities.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, investors, and other stakeholders.
  • Provide strategic advice to clients on capital structure optimization and financing alternatives.
  • Oversee the preparation of detailed financial models, valuation analyses, and transaction documentation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including industry coverage, M&A, and financial restructuring, to deliver comprehensive solutions to clients.
  • Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.

Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of relevant experience in investment banking, with a focus on private debt and capital markets.
  • An undergraduate degree with an exemplary academic record from an accredited institution. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and technical skills.
  • Direct experience in debt capital markets, including direct lending and structured finance.
  • Advanced knowledge of accounting, finance, and financial modeling.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and investors.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and executing complex financing transactions.
