Job Requirements / Description

Your recipe for success:

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience successfully working in a high-volume pastry production, banquet production kitchen (or similar environment).
  • Desire to help where needed and work as part of a team.
  • Passion for baking with a keen eye for freshness, quality and cleanliness.
  • An appetite for learning (and delicious pastries).
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts. Weekend availability is a must. Shifts range from early morning to early afternoon start times.
  • Familiarity working with large planetary and spiral mixers and comfortable mixing large batches of doughs multiple times a day.
  • Able to work independently and with a team.

Working Conditions / Essential Functions and Skills Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand for 8+ hours per production shift/day.
  • Ability to kneel, grasp, and lift/carry/manipulate up to lift 50lbs regularly.
  • Consistent and reliable attendance.
  • Must be available to work day and late afternoons during the week, weekend, and holidays, as needed.

Position Requirements:

  • Ability or a willingness to learn to operate bakery manufacturing equipment such as deck ovens, proofers, rack ovens, fryers, etc.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, high-volume production bakery.
  • Maintains the highest standards of product quality.
  • Communicates professionally, both in writing and verbally, with all bakery clients.

Other Preferred Skills:

  • Previous experience working in baking or a food manufacturing environment.
  • Prior experience in a high-volume production facility.
  • Familiar with Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English.

Competitive Pay: $18-$20+/hour, depending on experience.
