SALES OPERATIONS COORDINATOR

Job Summary:

The Sales Operations Coordinator will support the retail sales team by executing all retail and distributor sales operations, including new item set ups, promotion execution, trade spend management, and data analytics.

Responsibilities and Duties:

General

  1. Create, build and maintain internal systems to efficiently manage and scale sales operation tasks.
  2. Work with the Company's retail sales team to understand business and functional requirements, implement solutions to support their day to day, analytics, and reporting needs.
  3. Optimize sales and operational efficiency through innovative thinking, process improvement, data analytics, system enhancement and best practices.
  4. Administer customer and sales management processes once created.
  5. Contribute to overall team effort by accomplishing related sales and operational duties as needed (ad hoc sales reporting and administrative paperwork as needed).
  6. Report back progress, successes and challenges to management in a timely manner.

Retail Sales Support

  1. Be a cross functional sales lead for product launches, new product setups, UPC changes, etc.
  2. Execute promotional plan paperwork and support directly with retailers at the direction of the Company's retail sales team.
  3. Be a sales advocate and partner to internal stakeholders to understand customer specific requirements.

Brand Management/Relations

  1. Assure a high level of customer service by handling customer concerns and follow-up in a proactive manner.
  2. Resolve customer issues by following appropriate administrative processes and company policies and escalating issues to management as appropriate.
  3. Ability to understand, create and deliver high-quality audience-appropriate communication with Company brand partners.

Systems – Data/Analytics

  1. Understand and implement new customer, brand, and SKU setups.
  2. Advocate and lead tool implementation and utilization for sales organization.
  3. Become proficient with retailer onboarding, trade spend, and data management systems including, but not limited to WFM Internal Dashboard, etc.
  4. Become proficient with distributor portals including, but not limited to UNFI, KeHE, DPI, etc.
  5. Become proficient in Syndicated Data Tools including, but not limited to SPINs, IRI, Nielsen, etc.

Miscellaneous

  1. Demonstrate a passion for all of the Company's products.
  2. Embrace our brand image and model the Company's cultures, values, and behavior – always represent the Company in a positive and energetic manner.

Qualifications, Skills, and Education:

  1. This position should be passionate about food and beverages. He or she considers themselves an independent thinker and doer, and someone who loves to introduce friends to new things they've discovered, especially food and beverages.
  2. Bachelor's degree (B.A or B.S) in Sales, Business Administration, Business Management.
  3. 0-2 years of successful sales experience with increased responsibility with retail customers.
  4. Established relationships and demonstrated success working with key retail accounts along with the associated distributors serving these channels.
  5. Working knowledge of financials used in the sales process such as costing, margin, profitability, promotional spending, and allowances.
  6. Passionate and results oriented individual who demonstrates persistence in the face of obstacles – ability to problem solve and innovate to succeed.
  7. Strong planning and organizational skills along with excellent interpersonal, written/oral communication, and presentation skills.
  8. Full competence with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
  9. Proven ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
  10. Demonstrated ability to excel in a hands-on, fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.
  11. Highly adaptable and resourceful; proactive versus reactive.
  12. Proficient in Syndicated Data Tools including, but not limited to SPINs, IRI, Nielsen, etc.
