Reference #: R-501 Function: Conducts floor plan inspections.Duties and Responsibilities:Downloads assigned audit using the Personal Audit Device (PAD) and personally examine and verify the Vehicle Identification Number of the unit at floor plan dealer locations.Determines the location of units temporarily off the dealer's lot and inspect the vehicles where possible.Ascertains which units are in transit to the dealer and review the supporting Manufacturer's Certificates of Origin when available.Determines units that the dealer has sold and is in the process of paying off. Review the Sales Jacket when possible and determine the sales date, finance method and function date (if applicable).Inspects any vehicles assigned for rechecking by the Floor Plan Manager.Inspects selected vehicle titles for proper registration and assignment.Follows the Floor Plan Inspector's Responsibilities as detailed in the Secured Credit Procedures.Maintains good public relations with floor plan dealer personnel.Uploads completed audits using the PAD.Communicates any unusual, irregular, or potential problems to the Floor Plan Manager.Maintains a good working relationship with all bank employees. Demonstrates the ability to work independently. Works as a team player to contribute to the success of the department and in turn the organization.Physical DemandsKneel and crawl to obtain serial numbers, work outside, driver's license: 90% of the day. The primary parts of the body involved in performing these duties are the fingers, thumbs, hands, wrists, elbow, legs, lower and upper torso and feet. The job requires reaching above the shoulders which is slow in speed. Bending and twisting is required which is slow in speed. Standing is required 45% of the day, walking on dealership lots. Sitting is required 10% of the day at a desk chair and driving. Walking is required 45% of the day which is slow in speed. Requires the ability to focus visually at a close distance of 18"-20" for a period of up to 85% of the business day for travel. Must have a valid driver's license. Physical demands include, working in closely confined areas on the tightly parked floor planned units; including kneeling, climbing, and crawling to obtain ID numbers. Must be able to perform duties outside in all weather conditions.
