POSITION SPECIFICATION
CLIENT SOLUTIONS, SENIOR ASSOCIATE/ASSISTANT VICE PRESIDENT
Shine Associates, LLC has been retained to search, identify and recruit a Client Solutions Senior Associate/AVP on behalf of our client (‘Company’). This position will be based in either Atlanta, GA, Boston, MA or NYC.

Our client is a privately-held and vertically-integrated real estate company that develops, owns, and operates a portfolio of multifamily, industrial, and mixed-use developments. With corporate offices in Atlanta, Boston, Dallas, Dubai, New York, and San Francisco, the firm is an experienced real estate private equity investor and manager supported by an integrated operating platform and has 60+ years of experience across multiple asset classes. The Company’s existing and under-development properties are valued at over $29.0 billion. 
During its 60+-year history, the firm has developed, managed or acquired over 96,000 residential units and 32.5 million square feet of commercial space in twenty-four states.  CLIENT SOLUTIONS, SENIOR ASSOCIATE/ASSISTANT VICE PRESIDENT
The Client Solutions Senior Associate/AVP is an exciting opportunity to join an established firm, where you will play a key role in a new and growing team. This role will report to the Global Head of Client Solutions and assist Investor Relations Vice President, Portfolio Management teams and various internal senior team members in the preparation of investor marketing materials and onboarding process.
This position offers an opportunity to gain a high-level understanding of the firm's strategy, operations, and approach with investors. The Client Solutions Senior Associate/AVP will develop and utilize a broad skill set, ranging from effective written and oral communications to detailed investment performance analysis and disciplined project management. The candidate will need to be results-oriented with a sincere interest in networking, maintaining, and creating new investor connections.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Create post meeting notes
  • Coordinate follow up and pre-meeting materials
  • Create LP profiles/research LP information, appetite, pacing plans
  • Attend in person meetings with capital raiser and communicate directly with LPs
  • Assist in identifying opportunities and follow up/ongoing communication with investors
  • Opportunity to transition to jr. capital raising role after a certain period of time
  • Work closely with other key company functional areas (acquisitions, portfolio and asset management, finance, accounting, compliance, tax, and legal) to compile data and insights for investor reports, questionnaires, communications, and ad-hoc requests
  • Be able to clearly articulate the firm’s strategy to prospective investors
 
LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to draft content, business correspondence, and interpret business concepts. Ability to effectively consolidate and present information to senior management.
 QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE 
  • Bachelor’s degree and 3-6 relevant experience with investors in real estate, private equity capital raising or other alternative investment class
  • Demonstrate self-confidence with investors, consultants, and internal stakeholders
  • Willingness to travel on a regular basis
  • Strong written and oral communication
  • Proficiency in quantitative analysis
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize time-sensitive projects
  • Organization and attention to detail
  • Solid business acumen and understanding of financial terminology
  • Knowledge of investor documentation, including subscription agreements and limited partnership agreements (law firm experience a plus)
  • Advanced technical experience, proficient in Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a collaborative work style; extremely flexible, adaptable, a self-starter with the ability to work autonomously and in a team environment
  • Positive and enthusiastic demeanor with excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to assess issues, gather information, solve issues, and report when necessary
  • Self-starter, intellectual curiosity, committed to continuous learning and development

COMPENSATION
The expected base salary for this position ranges from $150,000 - $150,000. In addition to base salary, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus, as well as a competitive benefits package. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training experience, education, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered.
