Manage processes and maintain visibility to the regular and preventative maintenance needs of Old Dominion’s fleet of trucks, trailers, and forklift equipment. Identify areas of concern and apply data elements to determine root cause. As the departmental data owner and liaison to IT, evaluate existing processes and system functions to create and prioritize IT initiatives to drive continuous improvement and efficiency. Work cross-functionally between Maintenance and all other departments including Linehaul, Operations, Safety, Accounting, IT, Vendor Management and Sustainability.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Support the field teams with system enhancements, reporting and issues as they arise
  • Establish and maintain working relationships with all key suppliers and the field
  • Establish and disperse reports/KPI’s to the field and corporate decision makers
  • Maintain the system of record, produce and manage reporting needs associated with operations
  • Drive continuous improvement in processes and implement change
  • Oversee the Parts Support Team and provide direction on supply issues, considerations for aftermarket parts etc.
  • Oversee the fuel department and address system related process issues affecting fuel quality.
  • Manage daily corporate administrative tasks associated with warranty, breakdowns, and tire related invoicing and processing.
  • Support the corporate functions with all things Maintenance and systems


Job Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent experience required


Experience:

  • 8 years minimum experience in maintenance field or fleet management involving high-level decision-making working with cross organizational groups.
  • Strong phone and verbal communication skills along with active listening skills
  • Exceptional Excel experience required
  • Data Analytics experience required in developing and producing KPI reports with Power BI, Tableau or Qlik
  • Visionary approach to solving complex problems quickly and creatively
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
