What You Need To Know About The Job
The American Red Cross seeks a creative and energetic User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Associate to join our enterprise digital marketing team in testing and validating websites and applications that help to deliver the American Red Cross’s mission to "prevent and alleviate human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors." The Red Cross’s flagship public-facing websites include redcross.org and RedCrossBlood.org and we are seeking a talented UAT specialist to support testing initiatives across these platforms.
Top candidates for this role will have recent, significant experience with Adobe Experience Cloud products, and will be responsible to:
- understand, document, and communicate testing requirements.
- provide test estimates.
- create, review, and execute test cases.
- create and submit test reports to stakeholders.
WHERE YOUR CAREER IS A FORCE FOR GOOD (Key Responsibilities):
- Coordinate the planning, monitoring, and control of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities and tasks.
- Collaborate with stakeholders; devise the test objectives, organizational User Acceptance test policies, test strategies and test plans.
- Estimate the testing to be done and negotiate with management to acquire the necessary resources.
- Lead, guide and monitor the analysis, design, implementation and execution of the UAT test cases, test procedures and test suites.
- Conduct organized handling of test artifacts and establish a clear connection between tests and their associated specifications or requirements.
- Ensure the test environment is established before test execution and actively managed during test execution.
- Schedule the tests for execution, monitor, measure, control and report on the test progress, the product quality status, and the test results. Adapt the test plan and compensate as needed to adjust to evolving conditions.
- Create summary reports on test status.
- Participate in Agile events such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, grooming, and sprint retrospectives.
- Report and document all UAT activities, including defect management and resolution.
- Provide multi-disciplinary team support. Pursue cross-functional training to build proficiency in additional areas of the digital organization.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (required/minimum Qualifications)
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, computer science, information technology, engineering, or related field or equivalent work experience.
- 3-5 years of exp. in digital marketing, specifically with experience in planning, managing, and executing UAT.
- Proficient in detailed planning, management, and execution of business testing (UAT) activities.
- Software quality assurance, business analysis and/or systems/application testing experience.
- Ability to provide technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, and resolving highly complex test problems.
- Experience in Agile/Sprint delivery testing methodology.
- Working knowledge of testing lifecycle (unit, functional, SIT, E2E, UAT, regression).
- Familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
- Ability to manage test-related activities in Atlassian JIRA.
- Experience with content publishing/reuse/syndication with Adobe Experience Manager.
- Knowledge of page layout and composition principles.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as customer relationship building skills.
- Adapt to and work effectively with a variety of stakeholders and in challenging situations.
- Desire to participate in and help build and strengthen a team-oriented environment.
- Knowledge of Red Cross structure and operations preferred.
What Will Give You The Competitive Edge
- Understanding of JavaScript, Python, HTML, CSS, JS Frameworks, JSON.
- Experience with software development and collaboration tools, e.g., Atlassian products, BrowserStack.
- Intermediate knowledge of integrations/interactions with other Adobe Experience Cloud products.
- Experience with the Adobe Target testing and optimization tool.

The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The work environment will consist of moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phones and printers, light traffic). The employee must have the ability to work in a small cubicle and have the ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time.

- Compensation: The Salary for this position is $60,560.00 - $73,840.00.
