Technology Service Corporation (TSC) is seeking a SCI cleared Radiofrequency (RF) test engineer.
The RF test engineer will test and calibrate classified RF systems at the Naval Research Laboratory in Washington DC and at other locations. Extensive travel may be required. The RF test engineer will capture and evaluate test signals using spectrum analyzers, RF power meters, and other standard laboratory equipment. The RF test engineer will follow detailed test procedures and correlate data into test reports. The RF test engineer will work with government and contractor design engineers. This position will be full time on-site at the Naval Research Laboratory in Washington DC and will be in a classified environment. No remote work is available.
Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed RF test procedures using spectrum analyzers and other standard laboratory test equipment.
- Gather and correlate test results and review test results with design engineers.
- Perform limited troubleshooting on RF systems.
- Perform limited repairs to RF systems.
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Required Qualifications:
- Government TS security clearance with ability to obtain SCI/Poly. Current SCI/Poly strongly preferred.
- Associate degree in electronics or RF systems, or equivalent experience testing RF systems.
- Familiarity with advanced digital Spectrum Analyzer setup and operation.
- Familiarity with Bite Error Rate testers, oscilloscopes, multimeters, RF power meters, power supplies, and similar laboratory test equipment.
- Familiarity with the principles and functions of filters, mixers, splitters, circulators, low-noise amplifiers, and similar RF components preferred.
- Basic soldering and crimping skills preferred.
- Highly organized, critical, and analytical thinker, excellent problem-solver.
- Adaptable to change and highly resolved to overcome challenges.
