Anderson Cancer Center is to eliminate cancer in Texas, the nation, and the world through outstanding programs that integrate patient care, research and prevention, and through education for undergraduate and graduate students, trainees, professionals, employees and the public.SUMMARYSupervise Diagnostic Imaging Scheduling CenterShift / Hours: Monday - Friday / 9am - 6pm (with flexibility)Idea candidate will have staff management, project management, leadership skills and experience with Kronos (or similar time management tools).JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIESAdministrative and Personnel Coordinates activities and supervises, Diagnostic Imaging Service Coordinators (DISC's) and Patient Access, Diagnostic Imaging.Interviews DISC and PAS candidates and makes recommendations for hire.Evaluates employee performance and provides timely written and verbal feedback.Creates and implements daily work schedules for DISCs and PAS.Interacts with center PSCs for exchange of information and problem solving. Initiates contact or meeting when appropriate.Fills in for Manager as requested.Assists technologists and other employees as neededFaxes and distributes faxes as required.Maintains patient/client confidentiality at all timesPossess highly developed communication and organizational skills.Must be able to work independently and without direct supervisionPosition requires the ability to problem solve and trouble shoot day to day routine patient administrative activities in the clinic setting.Reviews and analyzes Avaya and productivity reports to determine staffing levels as needed.Special projects as required.Financial Administration Maintains Kronos time records for DISCs and PAS minimizing overtime when possible.Maintains inventory orders, obtains and stocks supplies and equipment that are necessary for unit function.Education and Mentoring1. Provides job specific training for DISCs and Patient Access.Able to perform DISC and PAS duties in all areas of Diagnostic Imaging.Demonstrates a high-level customer service philosophy.Understand, participates in and promotes team efforts.Establishes and maintains a high level of professionalism through cooperation, receptiveness, and sensitivity to others.Must understand computer systems with ability to run and interpret reports.Other duties as assigned.Other duties as assignedREQUIREMENTSEducation Required: Bachelor's degree Health Services Administration, Business Administration or related field.Preferred Education: NoneCertification: NonePreferred Certification: NoneExperience Required: Three years of project coordination, lead or supervisory experience in health care or front office environment.
