Responsibilities:
Position Summary:

Addresses and investigates the quality-of-care grievances from health plans, patients and families and works with department leadership for resolution. Serves as a clinical resource and liaison for patients and their families and assists with navigating all aspects of the healthcare system. Provides clinical education regarding treatment and liaisons with the patient's clinical service providers to address specific concerns. May have in-depth specialty expertise and focus.

Required Qualifications:

Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills to manage multiple levels of information and responsibilities, and quickly assess complex problems to develop multiple potential solutions.

Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties

Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job

Minimum of 3 years of experience in a clinical setting or equivalent experience

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Demonstrated ability to work with senior staff and managers and to provide recommendations on issues of functionality, clinical quality, and efficiency

Demonstrated ability to interpret and effectively explain clinical and technical information both verbally and in writing, and to contribute to presentations, reports, and analyses as assigned.

Current CA RN license

Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of the Orange County healthcare market

Knowledge of University and Medical Center organizations, policies, procedures and forms

Bilingual skills in English and Spanish and/or Vietnamese

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
