Job Title: Commercial Litigation Attorney
Job Overview: A prestigious law firm based in Vero Beach, FL, is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Litigation Attorney to handle an active caseload in the field of real estate and commercial litigation. This role focuses on litigation responsibilities, offering a great opportunity to engage in a challenging and dynamic legal environment. The position emphasizes case management without the necessity for business development activities.
Duties:
- Conduct thorough consultations with clients to assess legal matters and provide expert advice on potential outcomes.
- Manage and oversee litigation cases from inception to resolution, ensuring consistent communication with clients.
- Guide and supervise support staff, including paralegals and legal assistants, to maintain workflow efficiency.
- Draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and correspondence, while conducting necessary legal research.
- Represent clients in court, including Circuit and County Court, with expertise in trial procedures.
- Meet a set monthly revenue goal to maintain firm productivity.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience in litigation, preferably within real estate or commercial litigation, though not mandatory.
- Proven ability to manage cases independently from start to finish in both County and Circuit Courts.
- Prior experience in client representation in a legal capacity is highly valued.
- The desire for increased autonomy and better work-life balance, especially for solo practitioners or attorneys from larger firms.
- Willingness to attend regular meetings with managing attorneys and support staff for case updates.
Education:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the Florida State Bar.
Certifications:
- Must be licensed to practice law in the state of Florida.
Skills:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly in presenting cases and negotiating outcomes.
- Proficient in drafting and reviewing legal documents.
- Meticulous attention to detail in legal research and case preparation.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
- Ability to work collaboratively with legal teams and support staff.
