Food and Beverage Investment Banking Vice President

The Food and Beverage at Brown Gibbons Lang & Company (BGL) is seeking an Investment Banking Vice President to join our team. This vertical focuses on several key areas: fresh and consumer packaged goods, ingredients, supply chain and processing/co-manufacturing, including both upstream and downstream transactions. This position is based out of our Chicago, IL office.

Responsibilities:

1. Support senior bankers in transaction execution and client management
2. Lead day-to-day execution of transactions
3. Manage deal team junior bankers and review their work product
4. Lead development of key engagement marketing materials, including but not limited to: detailed financial and valuation models, memorandums, and other transaction-related materials.
5. Assist with identification of potential investors, lenders, buyers, and acquisition targets
6. Manage transaction execution timeline
7. Support business development efforts
8. Provide mentorship to junior banking team members

Qualifications:

1. Five or more years of experience focused on mergers and acquisitions investment banking, preferably within the Food and Beverage/Consumer space
2. Bachelor’s Degree required
3. Strong sell-side M&A experience, as well as experience in buy-side and capital raising transactions
4. FINRA Licenses 63 & 79
5. Proven track record of strong transaction execution including new business presentations, financial analysis, transaction marketing documents, and preparation of other related materials
6. Excellent interpersonal skills
7. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
8. Strong work ethic and organizational skills
