POSITION SUMMARY


The Human Resource Manager will lead and direct all functions of the Human Resources (HR) department, including hiring and onboarding staff,employee performance and compensation, benefits, employee relations, training and development, and enforcing company policies and practices. This role plays a strategic part in having the right people in the organization and in their right seats in step with executive leadership's long-term organizational growth objectives.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization’s human resource and talent strategy, particularly concerning current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
  • Provides support and guidance to HR staff, management, and other personnel when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise.
  • Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay and benefit programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
  • Creates learning programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
  • Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews and updates policies and practices accordingly..
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and modern technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Advocates organizational culture and participates with internal EOCC (Employee Ownership Communication Committee) in the design and administration of employee engagement events to promote the ESOP.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.


QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Minimum Required: Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field.

Preferred: SHRM-CP, PHR, or similar certifications or credentials.

Experience

Minimum Required: 5 years progressive HR management experience.

Preferred: Paylocity HRIS experience is a plus.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent
  • management systems.


PHYSICAL EFFORT

  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Must possess visual abilities to perform extended reading and computer work.
  • Occasional travel by car and/or air in conjunction with local, regional, and/or national travel, up to 10%

  • Regular office: Standard, climate-controlled office setting.
  • Production facility: Moderate noise level
