Job Description:
Seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer with expertise in HVAC system design to join their dynamic team. In this role, the candidate will be responsible for designing and engineering HVAC systems for a variety of projects across different sectors (i.e. commercial, healthcare, education, data center, and military buildings). As part of their MEP engineering team, the candidate will play a key role in delivering efficient and sustainable HVAC solutions that align with their commitment to engineering excellence.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within 6 months.
- Minimum of 4+ years of U.S. experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on HVAC system design for commercial, healthcare, education, data center, or military projects.
- Proficiency in HVAC design software such as Revit MEP, AutoCAD, or Carrier HAP.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, energy efficiency standards, and industry best practices.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving and project management.
- Conduct comprehensive mechanical engineering analyses and calculations to design HVAC systems for various building types, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.
- Collaborate with project teams to develop design concepts, prepare construction documents, and review drawings and specifications.
- Perform load calculations, equipment selection, and sizing of HVAC components such as chillers, boilers, air handling units, and ventilation systems.
- Participate in meetings with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders to discuss project requirements, progress, and design solutions.
- Conduct site visits and field surveys to assess existing conditions, troubleshoot design issues, and provide technical support during construction.
