Net Zero Program Analyst

Job Description Summary

The Net Zero Program Analyst is responsible for implementing and closely monitoring net zero programs to help Cushman & Wakefield achieve our ambitious decarbonization goals. Cushman & Wakefield has set both near-term science-based targets and a long-term net zero target. These targets have been approved by the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) and will be updated every five years in line with SBTi requirements. To seamlessly deliver our net zero program and achieve targets, you will work closely with sustainability and functional teams including real estate, procurement, and operations. Reporting directly to the Global Energy and Sustainability Manager, you will work closely with your colleagues in the Corporate ESG group to track, monitor and analyze net zero performance and create strategy in support of optimizing our performance and reaching our goals. Finally, you will also monitor and report key decarbonization trends globally to support continuous improvement of our net zero program.

Job Description

  1. Help develop and execute Net Zero roadmap across our global operations (scope 1, 2, and 3 greenhouse gas emissions), working collaboratively with stakeholders to successfully implement programs and initiatives to reach our objectives.

  2. Support the achievement of Cushman & Wakefield's science-based emissions reduction targets through engagement with global colleagues and stakeholders on key programs and policies.

  3. Prioritize the suite of mechanisms to drive carbon reduction - including asset optimization, energy efficiency, renewable energy, waste management, supplier engagement, and client engagement - working in collaboration with stakeholders across the organization.

  4. Identify, develop and support the establishment of short & long-term action plans as part of the broader Net Zero roadmap and monitor relevant KPIs.

  5. Develop plans for and support employee engagement and outreach programs aligned with our sustainability goals - including employee volunteering events.

  6. Support efforts around all aspects of the strategy and tactical delivery of the program of interventions identified in the Net Zero roadmap.

  7. Maximize the use of data analytics tools like Salesforce Net Zero Cloud to track metrics and identify opportunity areas for interventions and data enhancements.

  8. Act as a key interface for our global and regional Operations teams to drive delivery of the program at pace, communicating successes and challenges along the way to key stakeholders.

  9. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand opportunities and challenges to the program, build consensus, and translate those into a robust program approach and framework.

  10. Maintain awareness of global net zero trends, tools, and metrics, and support integration of sustainability best practices into our sustainability program.

  11. Access current policies and processes, identify gaps to net zero best practice, and drive improvement including drafting of new policies in collaboration with the Corporate ESG team.

  12. Act as a subject matter expert to support engagement of key stakeholders on net zero requests.

Skills and Experience

  1. Bachelor's degree in subjects such environmental science, engineering, climate change, sustainability, or related field.

  2. Has 3+ years of diverse professional experience in managing large-scale global programs for multinational corporations.

  3. Strong computer skills including proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint, online software platforms, with the ability to use spreadsheets and data analysis applications.

  4. Prior experience tracking, monitoring, and reporting progress towards greenhouse gas emissions and/or decarbonization goals.

Competencies

  1. Solid understanding of relevant standards from the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), GHG accounting (The GHG Protocol), and sustainability and ESG reporting frameworks (GRI, SASB, CDP, TCFD, etc.).

  2. Has advanced understanding of net zero program management including developing and implementing decarbonization strategies for Scopes 1, 2, and 3.

  3. An experienced leader with the ability to command strong presence and build relationships across all engaged stakeholders.
