The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Software Developer to join our team. As a full stack developer, you will have the opportunity to work with large-scale systems, utilizing cutting-edge technologies and tools to automate workflows and processes. In this role, you will support our Product team by conducting problem analysis, designing and developing effective solutions, planning and executing solution implementation, and providing training, logistical, and infrastructural assistance. Additionally, you will be responsible for standardizing processes and measuring outcomes. You will lead the team in identifying systematic ways to streamline processes and enhance efficiencies.
Location
This is a Work from Home position. As a team, we are committed to ensuring the highest level of service and reliability for our users. To achieve this, we may occasionally require after-hours support to address critical production issues as they arise.
The Main Responsibilities
- Maintain Linux/Unix server environment to ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability. This includes monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, applying security patches, and ensuring data backups.
- Interface closely with the business and technical staff on the team during all phases of the project, including unit and system testing, integration, and UAT testing culminating with implementation checkout and post-implementation support.
- Perform data quality checks and validations, and handle data anomalies and issues.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex software application-related problems.
- Extract, transform, and load data from various sources and formats, such as relational databases, APIs, JSON, XML, CSV, etc.
- Manage job and project requirements so that projects are completed on time, in scope, within budget, with minimal defects.
- Accountable for all aspects of testing (e.g., testing plan, scenarios, documentation, defect management) to ensure minimal production and UAT defects are realized.
- Translate business requirements to software specifications and requirements.
- Provide industry knowledge, experience, and best practices to help the team stay ahead of the curve in keeping our technology stack cutting edge.

Required Qualifications:
- Server and Database administration which includes Linux, Unix, Redis, Oracle, and SQL.
- Experience utilizing JIRA for feature creation, dashboard management, etc.
- Experience solving business problems that involve systems and process changes.
- Experience sourcing, analyzing, and using data to solve problems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
- Eager to learn new skills and technologies, and willing to take on challenges.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong conceptual thinker with the ability to generate new ideas.
- Ability to act independently, take initiative, and drive tasks and issues to resolution.
- Prior experience in a leadership or mentorship role.
Compensation
The starting salary for this role differs based on the employee's primary work location. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual's qualifications. Location-Based Pay Ranges:
- $94,420 - $125,890 in these states: AR, ID, KY, LA, ME, MS, NE, SC, SD.
- $99,390 - $132,510 in these states: AL, AZ, FL, GA, IA, IN, KS, MO, MT, ND, NM, OH, OK, PA, TN, UT, VT, WI, WV, WY.
- $104,360 - $139,140 in these states: CO, HI, MI, MN, NC, NH, NV, OR, RI.
- $109,330 - $145,770 in these states: AK, CA, CT, DC, DE, IL, MA, MD, NJ, NY, TX, VA, WA.
As with the pay range variety that's based on the region of a country, specific offers are determined by various factors such as experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs.
