We are a Charlotte-based candle company focused on promoting self-care, wellness, and healing through our handcrafted products and special events. Our mission is to inspire others to prioritize self-care while creating a warm and inviting environment through our candles and services. We’re seeking a passionate and creative individual to help grow our Instagram presence and bring traction back to our business.
Position Overview:
As the Creative Director , your primary goal will be to grow and engage our audience through creative social media content, particularly on Instagram. You will produce engaging Reels, create photo content, and interact with our community in ways that reflect our brand's mission. This position is ideal for someone with a strong social media presence, a love for wellness and self-care, and a creative mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce 3-4 Instagram Reels per week, highlighting our products, events, and brand message.
- Create visually appealing photo content that showcases our candles and promotes wellness and self-care.
- Develop strategies to engage with our audience and customers, building a strong online community.
- Be comfortable on camera, as you’ll create content and represent the brand on Instagram.
- Participate in bi-daily Zoom calls to discuss content ideas, product updates, and collaboration opportunities.
- Attend weekly in-person meetings to review progress and brainstorm new ideas.
- Stay updated with Instagram trends and find creative ways to align them with our brand.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience managing or growing a social media presence, especially on Instagram.
- Comfortable on camera and having a social media personality.
- Creative, self-motivated, and passionate about wellness, self-care, and healing.
- Basic knowledge of photography and video editing tools (Canva, iMovie, etc.).
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate in team settings.
- Ability to work independently and meet content deadlines.
Commitment:
This is a part-time position requiring 5-10 hours a week. Compensation is $15 per hour. Must be available for bi-daily Zoom calls and weekly in-person meetings in Charlotte, NC.
