Job Requirements / Description

Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Masters degree in business or a related field
  • Proven record of success (numbers and relationships) with a minimum of 10 years experience in sales and business development of technical solutions, ideally both hardware and software which also includes recurring revenue models
  • Team player with significant leadership experience, ideally more than 5 years
  • Strong knowledge of the North American market for access control and/or care
  • Previous P&L responsibility for business entities, ideally in a matrix organization
  • Strong commercial and strategic understanding including the ability to both develop and execute a comprehensive business plan, including both direct sales and channel structures
  • A structured self-starter with initiative, a positive outlook and good sense of prioritizing activities that have the biggest impact on high and profitable sales growth (short and long term)
  • A passion for great customer experiences and for exceeding targets
  • A commitment to adhere to the highest ethics and comply fully with ASSA ABLOY's Code of Conduct
  • Effective presentation and communication skills (one-to-one, in public settings or via written media)
  • Fluent in English (oral & written), strong MS Office and CRM system skills
  • Willingness to travel throughout the North American market, some international travel also required

Responsibilities

  • Reporting to Head of Senior Care North America, the VP Sales - Senior Care North America will be responsible for developing and accelerating our presence in the North American Senior Living and Care market
  • Drive profitable order and revenue growth across related product lines and to both new and existing accounts
  • Establish strong customer and partner relationships on all levels
  • Ensure customer value by the way we sell and interact with customers and by effective internal collaboration with delivery teams
  • Develop, gain acceptance and execute on a business plan to meet and exceed targets
  • Attract, recruit and develop a strong sales team of external and internal sales leaders
  • P&L responsibility for our North American entity
  • Effective collaboration with other company units such as marketing, product management, customer success and operations
  • Know your numbers including effective use of CRM and sales reporting
  • Be a natural leader and a positive representative for our company and company values externally and internally
