Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the revenue cycle team to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and payer-specific billing and coding requirements.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures that ensure prompt and accurate billing and collections.
  • Oversee the patient registration, insurance verification, and billing processes to minimize errors and denials.
  • Analyze revenue cycle data to identify trends, performance gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline workflows, enhance patient satisfaction, and maintain data integrity.
  • Train and mentor revenue cycle staff on best practices and changes in billing regulations.
  • Manage relationships with payers, including negotiating contracts and resolving disputes.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations on the status and outcomes of the revenue cycle for senior management.



Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Health Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle management, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  • In-depth knowledge of medical billing software, coding, and reimbursement processes, including Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurers.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
  • Proficiency in using healthcare information systems and electronic health records (EHR).
  • Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR), or similar certification preferred.
