Overview

The Director of Compliance oversees HEI’s compliance programs. The position designs, implements, and monitors programs and policies to ensure the company meets legal, regulatory, and ethical standards, while mitigating company liability and risk.

Responsibilities

1. Directs HEI’s overall compliance program.
2. Oversees associate compliance with internal policies and standards of practice.
3. Identifies and ensures appropriate response to compliance violations.
4. Leads or participates closely in investigations into potential compliance violations.
5. Provides regular reporting to senior management on the status of the company’s compliance programs.
6. Participates in the review and approval of all standard operating procedures and relevant trainings.
7. Monitors both the legal and regulatory environments to ensure internal policies remain current.
8. Coordinates efforts with compliance entities across multiple disciplines.
9. Works closely with the training team to ensure appropriate education for all HEI associates on compliance matters.
10. Performs any other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s Degree required, with a concentration in business administration, legal, finance, or a related field preferred.
2. A minimum of seven (7) years’ experience in compliance or a related field.
3. Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate compliance risks.
4. Strong organizational skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
5. Ability to present and interact professionally with C-Level staff.
6. Effective verbal and written communication skills.
