Clinical Education Specialist

JOB SUMMARY: Join our team as a Clinical Education Specialist and use your expertise to provide education, consultation, and leadership in selected clinical areas to benefit patients, staff, and the organization. This role involves promoting compliance with regulations, facilitating project teams, and improving systems and processes within the organization.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Connecticut
• BSN from an accredited University
• Master's Degree in Nursing preferred
• Minimum of five years progressive experience in clinical practice, nursing education, and/or nursing management in an acute care setting

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide educational leadership to enhance specialized patient care
• Coordinate and implement orientation of nursing staff
• Collaborate with medical providers and unit management to plan and implement educational curricula
• Monitor trends and implement educational strategies to ensure compliance with quality standards
• Participate in formal and informal teaching and coaching of staff nurses and other healthcare professionals
• Convey a strong sense of staff advocacy and support
