Primary Responsibilities
- Working as a key member of a hydraulic/water resource design team, serving as a task lead/project engineer on small to large projects.
- Providing leadership support for project delivery and business development.
- Preparing hydraulic design work using local or national standards: hydrology and hydraulic analysis, scour assessments, roadway drainage design, Hydraulic Reports, erosion and sediment pollution control, stormwater management design, NPDES and Waterway Permits.
- Preparing Contour Grading and Drainage Plans, Erosion and Sediment Pollution Control Plans, Drainage Profiles, and Post-Construction Stormwater Management Plans.
- Assisting with preparing Specifications and Construction Cost Estimates.
- Assisting in preparing scopes, budgets, and schedules including day to day communication (verbal and written) with the client.
- Supporting and advising junior engineers and technical staff, writing reports and technical memos, coordinating with subconsultants, and keeping the project on schedule and within budget.
Required Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Demonstrated leadership and communication skills.
- Proficient and demonstrated applied experience with CAD civil engineering software such as Bentley Open Roads Designer and/or Autodesk Civil 3D; specialty civil platforms (e.g., Openflows) as required.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.
